What are Podcasts?

Podcasts are regularly posted audio clips available to be shared by an RSS feed. The power of podcasting over ordinary downloadable audio clips, is their ability to be automatically downloaded to listeners computers, and even synchronised with their audio device, e.g. mp3 player or iPod.


Podcasting is good to share additional resources, interviews, book passages, key point summaries. The audio format allows resources to be heard wherever the listener is.


As part of the Learning Lab's learning by doing philosophy and then sharing the results, we're starting a podcast called Tales from the Lab. The podcasts are planned to be about all things e-learning and the Podcasting blog will document the process. We'll try to show what happens, any issues that arise, lessons learned and how succesful it is.
